Kerr Center for Agriscience School (K-8) recently welcomed the recruitment team celebrating the school’s unique commitment to agriculture-based education. With a dedicated on-site barn, thriving gardens, and hands-on learning opportunities, Kerr school integrates agriculture into every lesson, giving students a deep connection to nature and sustainability.
During the visit, we explored the school’s flourishing garden beds, where students cultivate vegetables and flowers as part of their curriculum. The barn, home to a variety of farm animals, serves as an interactive classroom where students learn about animal care, responsibility, and the role of livestock in agriculture. Kerr school ensures that every subject ties back to the land.
The visit highlighted the school's commitment to fostering an appreciation for agriculture while providing students with real-world skills. Kerr Center for Agriscience continues to serve as a model for hands-on, integrated learning - proving that education truly grows when rooted in nature.
